Rocky, all I can say is that despite the stellar performance today of both the SOX and the NAZ, RMBS put in place another gravestone doji, not very promising, IMHO. I say, beware of next week's FUD, they'll have something new, and this time, they may indeed challenge and break the $88 level.

RE: <kz . a scenario: hi, i'm capt. intel and i have a great big 80,000 giga putz chip set that is able to leap buildings and cures the common cold. the only thing is, if you want this marvel to work up to it's full potential ,you have to use rmbs memory enhancement or the bird won't fly high enough to do any good. now you can use 100 or 133 with this chip set and get so so performance if you want. your call.by the way after 2000 you won't be able to use anything but rmbs with this style chipset but you can buy anybody elses chipset and use that. Thats about where we stand now. if that makes intc a villain, so be it. i call it progress and free enterprise. nobody is twisting arms. rocky>

"i crown thee king of" missing my point far more than everyone else missed my point.

So you say that Rambus is so wonderful and birds flying and all that. Well if that were true then why wouldn't Intel offer the choice, reduce risk of start up problems during the transition, and have a smooth cross over to Rambus as the whole world starts demanding it due to its making birds fly? The answer is that they were afraid that the whole world wouldn't demand it because it provides no significant benefit to most users and it costs significantly more.
