Haim, i was under the impression that the pension plan robbery wasn't the only problem IBM is facing...there were big insider sales recently and today there were rumors regarding the mainframe business for the second time already. perhaps it was just Merril trying to get out of some naked calls as someone else has been suggesting. we'll see what happens on monday...probably today's slight setback will provoke a flurry of upgrades, that's what seems to happen all the time lately. remember a few days ago when IBM went up 6 bucks on news it will borrow another $ 10 billion? WS has no morals. imo what reigns now is lunacy and i wonder how much longer it can continue.
and no wonder WS is concerned about the pension thingy as well...after all, the pension plans are used to smooth out quarterly earnings. if you take that away, a company becomes more accident-prone earnings-wise.
