<<Remember when Amazon started auctions? It was the end of the earth for ebay. I dumped stock in the excitement.
It went down some and then people woke up.>> you have several pump, pumping analyst that keep coming to your rescue and start pounding the table for you, their act is wearing thin---EBAY will go down in history as one of the greatest
manias on record.
It is not being held up by wisdom but by stupidity.

imo you are missing the point !!!
i am not saying this is the end of ebay ,,i think they are a great site my problem is one of valuation as it is by far the most overvalued stock,,with a 18 billion dollar cap on eps of .05,,,the stock price has gotten way,way ahead of itself,,this new consortium is really huge news because it is a new way to do auctions ,,list in one place and cover 100,,the auction will not take away from initial site becuse they will be viewed at the initial site you started at,,amzn and yhoo will join in my opinion it is just a matter of time,,this consortium is just a huge data base for auctions the same way ebay is,,,the actual announcement is monday and let us see the specifics,,if it catches on it will be hard for ebay to grow,,and that is ebays problem now growth to justify it's market cap as competition increases it will be harder for it to grow,,it already is slowing down as witnessed by the auction count,,excluding free listing.
