Why Hold BLLSE??? Been long several months. Now that the big portals, ie: Yahoo , Excite, other, are offering e-pay, why would people use BLLSE?? Respectfully, Thomas, I don't think you understand BLLSE's business model. The company is more focused on the bill presentment piece of the EBPP package. The following text comes from the company's web site:billserv.com, Inc. operates as a service bureau offering Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) services to small and medium size billers that send billing statements on a recurring basis. Any biller that sends recurring items can benefit from billserv.com?s services. These include utilities, cable and telecommunications companies, the financial service industry, and large volume print-house or paper-based service companies. The Company's products allow billers to outsource their entire EBPP services and rely on billserv.com to manage systems, relationships, and the delivery of information to the many so called "front-ends" that consumers may choose from to view and pay bills. Yahoo! is simply one of the many "front-ends". Here's how things will work in the future. Small to medium size company decides it wants to take advantage of the cost savings of not printing and mailing bills. They want to present their bills to the customer over the internet. They sign up with BLLSE, BLLSE generates the bill and passes it to Checkfree, who then delivers the bill to the customer through Yahoo! What may be confusing people is that Yahoo! is starting with simple bill payment, with the presentment piece coming later. The Yahoo! news is actually good for BLLSE, because it provides a whole new pool of customers that the companies who are BLLSE's real target can deliver their bills to.
