MH y1k was the year 1000... There was a crisis in England at the time, because it said in the bible that Satan would be released after a 1000 year internment and that would spell the end of the world. During that 980's and 990's the Norse were coming down from the north and raiding their coastal towns.. People though that was reason to believe that the devil would soon be released.. Did you know that after the millennium.. For the next 20 years over 2 thousand churches were built there. I think it had to do with the relief they felt..<gg>
