1) Is there a brokerage fee for selling the rights?

Usually...No.

2) Why would I buy the shares by exercising the rights when I can get them for .11 cheaper on the market?

Well all rights holders would try to get the same number of shares on the market, the price wouldn't stay where it is for long.

You also get warrants that can become very valuable if gold move back up.

3) The share price will be devalued by this offering. Has the market already priced this into the current stock price, or are we to see an additional drop on expiration day. >>

I think the market has factored this and more.... but if/when GEO brings Vuletas Del Rio to production thanks to this $$...that is when the difference will be make up.

I am not really happy by the outcome on GEO... but they don't have too much choice.. They must survive despite these low gold prices. I have no doubt they will...but there is a cost.

Kitkat:

I just bought my "rights" today...and it is sure a great deal taking into consideration what happened to GEO shares today.

I own 5,000 shares....which entitles me to 5,000 rights which allows me to buy 5,000 /6 = 833 shares at $.60 cents.Considering they are trading at $.85 cents...I just made an easy $208.

Plus I have warrants to buy 417 shares until April 14,2001 @ $.90.

Pretty easy money!

Ron
