Speaking of options, I had sold some Q puts a few weeks ago. I had sold a Sept 75, a Sept 70, and a Sept 60 for a collective premium of about 2k. On Monday, I was contemplating buying them back for about 5k. I decided to wait a few days and in the worse case scenario roll them out. Today, they expired worthless! This is a volitile stock...

Jeff

p.s. I like the selling put strategy with Q. Worse case scenario, I get more Q!:-)

Uncle Frank: Now that the dust has settled on the brief but difficult (for some) scare re the Q, I would like to congratulate you personally.

The way you handled the entire situation on this thread was a model for future "threadmasters" of which you are #l in my book.

You deserve congratulations I believe not just for one post, but for several through which you kept the G&K thread focused on what was important about the Q's situation vs the panic that some were falling prey to.

An outstanding job IMO. In your best tradition.

And now that I know how much your had riding on the Q, that is even more impressive - if that were possible.

Congratulations.

Proud to be a participant in your thread.
