Andrew wants some discussion so lets give him our thoughts. FWIW, Are we members or subscribers? What is the difference? My thoughts are that members are part of a club and they participated in some sort of initiation or qualifing process to gain member status. Subscribers simply pay the going rate on an annual basis, like anything else if satisfied you subscribe for more of the same.

So Charles in my view, your statement would read Charter Subscriber not member. This is purely my own observation. This is not a hobby. Maybe it started out that way but I beleive it is a vocation now and in the future.

Andrew it is wishful thinking to talk of Membership like we were browning our noses at some Country Club. This is not the case. No matter how my subscription falls within the list (1st one or last one), I am paying the Subscription Fee for a service and that service is what you provide through RadarView.

Now you can talk about raising the rates and that IMO is wishfull and an unrealistic business plan. Don't misunderstand me, I think your service is well worth your modest fee. But, I don't think you want to milk the loyal herd to much or to often. Like any business your stability gains security with volume and repeat business (customers). You have already established a price point that customers are willing to pay and your goal as the proprietor is to maximize the efficiancy of delivering the best quality product for that fee. The whole print industry uses the Blue Light Special Theme. $500 at the news stand or $400 for an annual subscription is accepted and okay, but loyal subscribers no what the subscription fee is.

RadarView will always be in evolution or it will fold.

My 2 Cents FWIW.

Keith
