<<4. Christopher Hodgkin says: None of the above matter to me. They are outweighed by MY belief that the embryo in your uterus should be treated as though it were a human being. Certainly it will become one, and your responsibility, not mine, I might add, if I can force you to keep it in your uterus for several more months. In fact, I am already referring to what is in your uterus as "fully human," so that it might sound to an inattentive listener as though I were saying "a fully-human being.">>

I would edit that last line to read: "fully-human *person*" as any cell that contains human DNA is, technically, fully human. A person on the other hand, requires much more stringent criteria. For a human in the sense you wish to convey, it is the defining criterion.

Wrong.

4. Christopher Hodgkin says: None of the above matter to me.

No. Christopher Hodgkin says: All of the above matters intensely. But are they sufficient reasons to kill a person? What has happened to you is tragic. But you don't make that better by killing another person. That person did nothing wrong. They committed no crime, or evil, or wrong which make them deserve to die. For good reasons, bad reasons, or terrible reasons, you gave them life. But having given it, it is not your right any longer to take it away. Two wrongs do not make a right. They did not cause the problems you have; they do not deserve to die to pay for what bad has happened or will happen to you.
