<< You mean the man you characterize as a murderous monster wouldn't want to kill someone who had insinuated his way into the sect's good graces in order to betray them? >>

Strange actions from a strange mind.

<< I distinctly remember seeing that ATF agent spraying bullets through the window in a nonchalant manner. >>

At this point, there had already been shots fired at the ATF agents. The ATF agent was not shooting at anyone, he was trying to make sure that it was safe for the agents to enter the complex.

OTOH, I'll agree with you that the attack on the complex was stupid, and an abuse of power, until I find out otherwise during the hearings. I still can't believe that our Justice Department would authorize an attack on a building containing men, women and children unless they had solid and verifiable cause, especially after inviting the press and the world as witnesses.

Does that make sense to you? Bureaucrats never want their foul deeds witnessed. They do their dastardly deeds behind closed doors. Why make the raid on Waco so public if you were were not justified in raiding the complex? It seems like the Justice Department may have screwed up big on this one. Why am I beginning to feel this way? Because, if they were able to have all the ducks lines up, they would have come clean by now. Their silence is deafening!

If this raid was not justified, Justice Department officials need to be tried for manslaughter, even if there was mass suicide at Waco, IMHO.

As I said the other day while walking out to get the mail and stepping into something soft, something smells really bad here.
