BigBull: you were right on with VRC. I rode it from 7.5 to 10.25 and then bailed out. While the new rig "bidness" is evaporating, they are a great company with cash and no long term debt. I switched into RIG (from 25 to 34.25). Didn't have the guts (sense) to buy FLC. Diana: Thanks for your graciousness and humor. They are a good "counter" to Slider's stridency and verbosity. :-) Slider: You are quite verbose, BUT there is a lot of wisdom in your posts. Thanks. Took the "little woman" out for dinner tonight. She hates being called that, but won't read this. Actually she is a saint - for putting up with me. Gas (87) was 139.9 on way to but 145.9 on way back. Northern fringe of Illinois. BigDog: Enjoy and and have profited from your posts and newsletter. Thanks to you too. Slider : got your Forest (FST) yet. 17.5 today (+ 1/2) more than a triple. Sometimes stock picking is easy. Feeling that the oil patch was a sure winner (eventually), I looked at Value Line's screen for long term potential. And being an outdoors type, liked the name Forest (DD Lite). Even though only 1k is a small part of my portfolio, it's enough to give me bragging rights. ;-)) FWIW: I'm only 25% in patch now and looking at garbage (WMI) and easing into healthcare (HRC).
