Patrick Naughton, the Infoseek executive in charge of the alliance with Disney's Go Network, has been arrested by FBI agents and charged with using the Internet to solicit sex with a minor.
Naughton, well-known for his work on Sun's Java language before going to work for Infoseek, was arrested Thursday at the Santa Monica Pier, where he was expecting to meet a 13-year-old girl for sex, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.

The newspaper said Naughton used the screen name "Hotseattle" to send lewd e-mail messages to an FBI agent posing as the teen. Naughton, 34, lives in Seattle.

The arrest capped a six-month investigation, during which Naughton bragged of another encounter with a teen. He also led undercover authorities to a Web site containing a picture of his genitals, the Times reported, citing an affidavit filed in Federal Court.

Naughton, who did not enter a plea and was ordered to post a $100,000 bond, will face arraignment Oct. 12. His public defender declined to comment, according to the Times report.

Disney (NYSE:DIS) named Naughton executive vice president responsible for content and technology for Go Networks in January. <<

Does anyone think this will hurt us? The stock was just beginning to stabilize and hopefully this won't mean much.....let's at least hope so.
