I think it is wise to say right now that basically EVERONE has something going in china these days. JUst because you do not know aobut it, doesn;t mean they are not already there and selling. I would suspect that Japan is there but having trouble, Korea is there, europe is and has been there. US is there. since all they have to sell in the future is CDMA (2000 or 3G), then someone has to crack the wall. IMHO china has to stop holding out soon or they will be left behind. Of course they have done this for the last few hundred years, so it would not surprise me to see that they continue holding out for a few more years....or perhaps they can make a wise business decision like the Koreans did, lic the tehcnology and get teh ability to produce the stuff themselves and move on. In Korea's case, it changed the GNP by ALOT and allowed them to keep control of their own domestic market. the phone mfg and systems houses made ALOT of money. the carriers are making ALOT of money. the 1000's of retail phone stores are making money. but then perhaps my model is too simple.
