Wrong again, mostly. Intel filed a lawsuit and withdrew it the very next day. Intel claimed it was a mistake. I doubt that Via even knew about it before it was withdrawn.

Nothing else has happened.

Intel has the dominant market position for a reason. This gives them enormous power. And what's the point of having power if you don't use it now and then.

AMD may currently have the best most powerful processor but that does not mean they will win the war. remember beta max?
