A Pokemon is a Japanese cartoon animal with supernatural powers. For example, Charmander resembles a miniature T-Rex, with a bit of fire on the end of his tail, and he breathes fire. Squirtle looks like a blue turtle, and attacks with water. There are about 150 of them, living in cartoon land. Then there are human beings who are Pokemon trainers, they catch the Pokemon in the wild, and use them to fight cartoon battles with each other. If Charmander and Squirtle got into a fight, Squirtle would win, because water beats fire.

There's also a Pokemon video game, where you can fight Pokemon battles and a Pokemon card game, ditto. And to make it more interesting, each Pokemon can have levels of ability, so a Charmander that was a higher level than a Squirtle might win, because a strong enough fire can evaporate water.

These details were just dictated to me by Ben, who has now wandered off, so I guess that's it.
