Good question. It made me a little suspicious too.

Most of the founders left the company. It looks like a
bad sign, but it isn't. When you start up a company you
need innovative and creative characters.

The moment a company really starts to grow, things change
and other capabilities are necessary. Structure, standards,
focus on the financial numbers etc. Most of the founders
left to start up other new companies. Not because US Web
sucks, but they like to "invent" instead of "manage".

Because these guys left to do what they really like and to
do what they are good in, they make room for others who
have the skills that are needed to continue growth.

There is also another explanation. They did a lot of acqui-
sitions. It makes sense to give some stock to the manage-
ment of those company. And it also make sense that these
guys wants to cash as soon as possible because it is not
"their" company anymore.

To get a better picture of the company, read this one.

A quote from one of their competitors is what gave me the
most confindence in this stock.

"We're turning down clients," said Bert Ellis, founder and
chief executive of three-year-old iXL. "A year ago in our
business a $500,000 contract was a whopper, but now we're
turning down companies that can't show us they'll spend $1
million over the next calendar year."

With regards,

Paul
