Paul,
The re sellers profit margins are so low, they don't want to incur the costs to support Athlon. They prefer PIII for reliability. What would you rather have, a PIII which performs, or slightly faster system which may not ?

RE <<<Compare Intel's stock to AMD's stock this year.

Which one is DOWN 35% ?

Which one is UP 60% ?

Hint - The DOWN one has the FASTEST PROCESSOR>>>

ALSC, MTSN, AREM, LORX, MSS, AGY, EMC, ADIC, SUNW, CISCO, ESST ETC. You know what these stocks have in common? They are just a few of the stocks whose stock price performance beat the performance of intc's stock this year. The only stocks of note that intc beat were Dell and AMD. These are facts. So why do you continue to put (from what you post) most of your $ in intc, a mediocre performer at best? Really pitiful!

Only a small portion of my portfolio is in AMD (and no Elmer I will not disclose the amount...I am an investor, not a politician running for public office where disclosure is required). And I am sure I have done better than you did this year if, in fact, you are heavily weighted in intc.

So quit with the fudd....its getting really old. Your house of cards is starting to fall apart....everyone on this thread knows it. When are you going to get it?
