How much RAM would you suggest for someone who watches fast moving stocks on a realtime ticker? I presently have 128Mb but am thinking of adding another 128Mb. My video card has 8Mb of RAM on board. Should I be upgrading to 16Mb or 32Mb to optimize performance?

Regards,

Sue

>>I also need to find a black desktop case..or paint a beige one to match the color of stereo components.<<

Antec now offers some models in black. I'm not sure who offers the choice, though. You might have to get it direct from Antec. Painting them yourself sounds like a good alternative though!

Infranview is very nice. A good addition to my imaging arsenal. Thanks for the link.

PhotoImpact is my fave.

Never tried or heard of negative scanning (before a few weeks ago on this thread). Amazing the things they come up with for your computer).

Hi ZP, regards to you and the thread! I miss being able to post and lurk more often here...

Sorry I didn't get this to you before free shipping ended, but I've had good luck with buy.com's Antec desktop case for a similar purpose :

buy.com

I would go this route over painting--just isn't worth your time. also, computer geeks (don't recall the URL, and couldn't seem to dig it up--sorry) often sells nice black peripherals.

Thanks for the hometheater link--don't recall seeing it before.

I ordered several of the ATI AIW 128's this weekend. I've liked the xpert 128's a lot, and was impressed with the AWI Pro--at some $70 after reabte, I won't be upset if I have to wait until win2k to get full functionality in an NT class OS.
