>> I expect Phillips to be the buyer.

Hi, Cosmo. I've been considering Philips, too, but decided there was a problem. I asked myself 2 questions:

If I were Philips, would I purchase Q's terrestrial phone business without being issued a license to make cdma ic's?

If I were Philips and had such a license, would I sign a contract that blocked me from using them in my own phones?

My answer was "no" in both cases, which led me to the conclude that Philips would not be interesting to Q.

I'm afraid it will be Mot, but am rooting for Siemens.
