Hi, Michelle. I just asked Ben where his biology book is, and it's at school. So all I can tell you is that it was found recently, by a Japanese paleontologist, but in Africa, and it's older than Lucy, which is 3 million years if memory serves me right. I'll do a google search, and see if I can find more.

I don't care if they teach religious philosophy in school along with evolution as long as they emphasis "questions".

For instance, concerning the ark:

If they had to load two of each species, birds, animals, insects, etc. how was that done? There were virtually millions of species and they didn't have the transportation systems or vehicles that we have now, to collect the species, or the knowledge of the feeding habits of each individual specie. How would we do that today?

How were they able to load all of the different types of foods required? Some species feed primarily on other species. If they only boarded two of a certain "food" species, how did that species survive?

So, it's OK to discuss religion as long as it is not crammed down the little one's throats and there is discussion of whether or not biblical events could have possibly taken place.
