Well Bill, As of now I do not have an indication of what is going to happen this week. The planned joint intervention in the dollar has reduced a substantial risk for the market. If OPEC signals a stablization policy to a trading range in this area, it would relieve another concern. The world's economies need some time to absorb the rapid oil price rise of this summer. Of course, long-term weather forecasting now becomes a key factor for estimating demand this winter. I'm running behind in reviewing reports. M2 was ambivalent last week. In the details, seasonal versus real and institutional type, one sees a consumer continuing to draw down savings; yet, maybe, unlike other reports, slowing their spending. Weekly data is volatile and does not make a trend! I remain with a long-term buy, intermediate term trend is negative, and short term gives no clear indication (that includes the techs). I guess you can follow any significant move in interest rates for the week???? WE MAY BE IN A CONTRARIAN PARADOX ? The bulls are waiting to sell a rallies. The bears are waiting to buy dips. The funds trading sector rotation If the market goes up short term it makes the intermediate term more negative, and vice versa.? HOW CAN YOU BE A CONTRARIAN WHEN EVERYBODY IS BEING A CONTRARIAN????
