Uncle Frank re: Siemens buying from Qualcomm

I also agree with you, although Motorola might be the front runner, Siemens could be the dark horse. Siemens has just recently opened a large office / manufacturing facility in Ottawa and has been on a buying spree this year. Although most people thought that they would buy Newbridge, Siemens will use their cash to enter the CDMA market. I think that this is a good win win purchase and relationship for both companies. Qualcomm can leverage Siemens for Europe and Siemens can expand their reach into North America and have a better portfolio. If they can leverage their manufacturing facilities in North America, then the margins will increase for Siemens, imho.
