kash - <While we wait to see you grovel on the coppermine release in October. How about telling us how many tier 1's will be selling the new PIII-133/Camino/RDRAM systems at same time as camino release next week.

Hint: BIG FAT ZERO.>

Yeah, I don't know what the story is with .25um PIII's and Camino. I'm not even following it. Fair enough criticism, if true. IMHO.

Re: While we wait on the coppermine release in October...

Kash,

The only people who should be expected to grovel if Coppermine gets screwed up by Rambus are the pointy headed boss types at Intel who went for the "nothing but rambus, whatever the cost" strategy. (are you out there, Paul?) Certainly not the people who successfully brought out the chips themselves.

There is speculation on the Yahoo threads that some of the Intel higher ups have significant personal holdings in rambus (of course, there is also speculation there that Martians are the ones behind it all, so I'm not sure how much confidence should be placed on those guesses).
