Ditchdigger,
Oil furnace kicked on for the first time this year and we only keep the thermostat set at 68. This is good news along with your other points mentioned.

I would like to expand upon my previous post to A. Geiche about FGI a bit with you also if you don't mind.
A number of fabs show similar charts to FGI at this time and I am concerned about two possible scenarios. Either the major oils did a deal with OPEC last year and are limiting their own drilling activities, despite the increased price of oil, in order to maintain
oil prices, and/or demand will continue to eat into supply and
without substantial increases soon in drilling activity we will indeed have "BOOM2K". The first in not good news short term for fabs and rig builders (or drillers actually), but the second will be even if the first turns out to be true.
In which case companies like FGI, UFAB, GIFI, SESI are presenting very good profit potentials in the first year of the millenium. While decent runs are still possible with the drillers from these levels, 3+ baggers seem possible from present levels with some of these laggards.
Worth the wait??

Best Regards,

Roebear
