Ref : Report on COHU (Message # 1428)

Thank-you Bill, I was also wondering if my sending of the abovementioned report to several analysts has begun getting attn. of institutions for COHU?

My thanks also to KLINVESTOR for all the help in compiling the list of the analysts.

On a short term basis 'b2b' may be a fly in the ointment from the mass phsychology p.o.v. I agree with KLINVESTOR's assessment that the next 'b2b' may lag reality. As per recent statement of Applied Matl. chairman on Sept. 15 (Ref : Message # 1442) new orders for semi equipment may be released anytime now. Investment plans for fty. expansion are firmly in place. He is revising upwards his forecast for 2000. All this could get reflected in 'b2b' later this year and in the year 2000.

'b2b' may be presently reflecting booking and shipping status of large cap. cos. like Applied Matl., Novellus, others. This year COHU's backlog of orders has not only been increasing but accelerating every quarter. It's production facility being increased and stock being split.

I agree with Bill and others that valuationwise COHU has long ways to go and institutions have begun taking notice of and positions in it. Notice that Friday {Sept. 17} was a follow through day on very heavy volume for a recent breakout around $45{just afew days ago} from a cup and handle base . This follow through on strong volume{which happens when demand is greater than supply of the stock} usually is a good technical indication that the breakout may be successful. But nothing is guaranteed and anything can happen and so one must do one's own due dilligence and research before investing.
