Mick, the URL you provided was a interesting article. I watched the weekly TV show TheStreet.com on Fox News yesterday at 10 am EST. Herb Greenberg mentioned that he lives about 2 miles from a DSL exchange and they cannot provide him with a reliable DSL connection yet. Jim Cramer's recommendation was to keep away from telecom stocks for now and he cited one of his reason as the inability of the companies to provide reliable DSL service.

With DSL undergoing the growing pains of a lack of standard and ATT still in the process of deciding to lay the cable lines to ensure every home would have cable access similar to telephone lines, high speed access (HSA) is still a little ways away. In the meantime AOL is rolling along to ensure that their existing eyeballs continue to get improved content, and that they can utilize their existing position to establish themselves as the e-commerce revenue leader. After all AOL should know the pain of losing customers due to poor access!!!!

And when HSA becomes commonly available, AOL will be there.
