Further re Post story: Kathleen Day covers banking for the Post. I suspect this story is the line being peddled by the banks, or some of them who are behind the billpay curve, in response to the attention CKFR is getting over the Yahoo! rollout. If so, we can expect a lot more like this. The Post story will be used as a model by other reporters, who may find the facts easy to "confirm" by chatting with a couple of their local neighborhood brick-and-mortar boys. The Post is one of those newspapers -- along with the Times and the Wall Street Journal -- that other reporters trust and often follow.
