Seems to be a direct contradiction to the opening paragraph:

After paying bills from his desktop computer for several months through an electronic bill-paying service at Bank of America, Ernest E. Rosemond became irked recently when he noticed that the bank often takes money from his account nearly a week before it arrives in the hands of his creditors.

Appears to me the reporter contacted BoA first. and didn't follow up with the consumers complaint about it being taken from his account up to a week in advance. Or it could just be some clever wording on the part of Ms. Wallace.

And FTR, I don't believe her figures that 71% of their bills are transmitted electronically. Or doe that not include payments. Only receiving them?

Warming up here now. Think I'll go clean up around the fruit trees.

In July, we got some massive winds took down 6 apples in an orchard of about 20. Fruit is ripening now, so I'll go cut up some apple wood to burn next winter.
