Hi Bill; dallasnews.com

That William Johnston is making his letters public is also
suspect. He is walking a tight rope, on the one hand he offers
Reno some cover saying she may not have been informed, on the
other he is trying to cover his own rear for not meeting the
legal requirements of disclosure to the defense attorneys in
the original trial.

It's made to look as if He's become aware that the DOJ may want to hang him out as some sort of scape goat and he doesn't like it, but it's still hard for me to picture that he made these letters public without the OK from Reno.

What his actual motives are in this age of deception and considering
all the lies relating to Waco, is hard to determine.

The lack of his mention of the knowingly false and malicious DRUG charges , or other aspects of how the initial raid was set up,
causes me to believe the focus of his letters are to help facilitate an end run, and to cover his own rear end.
