But, if the member doesn't care, nothing can be done. At least the person's recent posts are available - and that is the function that really counts, I guess.

On this point I disagree. One of the best way to spot a spammer is to look at when they joined SI!! Also, I have PM'd some of the posters who don't have a profile. They don't why, and I have been told that some have notified SI to no avail.

Take the spamming attack last week: one of the most important pieces of information we had was all three signed up with SI the same day!

Take that nut last night, when I went to Classic and check his profile, sure enough, he was a new member.

Also, I will sometimes give a new member a break that I will not give someone who has been a member since 1996.

(Unless you are into fancy gifs, jpgs, and html like some we know!)

I heard rumors you were getting hooked on that kind of stuff. Any truth to the rumors?
