Intel gets Olicom's development group

COPENHAGEN (CBS.MW) -- Olicom A/S on Sunday announced it will sell its development group to Intel.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but in a statement, the companies said they have signed a definitive agreement for Intel to employ the development group and purchase certain intellectual property and assets.

About 220 Olicom (OLCMF: news, msgs) development employees in
Copenhagen, Denmark and Gdansk, Poland will become Intel employees.

Olicom's product portfolio includes Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and ATM
network adapters, switches, hubs and routers.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based Intel (INTC: news, msgs), the world's No. 1
chipmaker, and Olicom will hold a joint press conference Monday
afternoon in Copenhagen.
