Makes for interesting reading doesn't it! I hope the Court comes down on the side of assuring that religious people have the same rights as everyone else. No special right, no less rights.

There does need to be clarification between teaching morality and teaching religion. Schools are afraid to teach what is right and wrong any more out of fear some one will sue them for teaching religion. The result is a generation of graduates that have had little emphasis during their school years on what it means to be a good citizen in a civilized society. Rules for behavior are required for any society to live together in harmony.

Why again is the business of religion a tax shelter?
I assume a pastor of a congregation has to pay income
tax like anybody else, but churches avoid property
taxes right?

I guess I don't have too much of a problem with
folks writing off their tithes though. Say, if
I find God in my flower garden, can I write off
the cost of a rototiller? God in the stars...
maybe I could get an expensive Newtonian. God
in Nature...my subscription. God in teevee...my
cable subscription--nah, not that, I think TBN
comes free--and you get what you pay for, heheh.
Great hair though, and love those suits.
God in comedy too.

While I'm here...the movie Stigmata:
Maybe just a matinee, not worth full price,
and another lame slap at the Catholic church--
if you're going to offend the church, do it
right--"The Mission" was a good movie...
"Last Tempation" is on my top ten.

Everybody always likes to talk about religion,
but nobody ever wants to do anything about it <g>

have used so many genes I think.
