current trend, This is an excellent piece of research and link you have provided. Crashes occur when the overwhelming investor sentiment is so firmly entrenched in a specific direction over time(bullish)that its character takes on a life of its own in the form of complete psychological denial. Markets must, by definition turn (and sometimes crash and burn)when the critical mass investing public is looking for a continuation of an existing upward trend. Best Regards, J.T.
