This paragraph from the Houston Chronicle piece sums it up pretty well: "The company's biggest challenge is developing the systems behind the merchandise to avoid the five-year pitfalls flagged by Davidowitz, the retail analyst. Weiner's has invested in technology to track inventory, set up automatic reorder systems and created targeted incentive programs for employees. Store managers receive bonuses for things like improving sales volume or reducing theft, while others have options for stock, which is traded over the counter.
