in the FE/GE (Fast/Giga Ethernet) switch fabric area, BRCM has good access to volume (low end) with GALT being a formidable leader in the higher ASP sweet spot area. PMCS and others are furthermore well positioned to pick up those sockets in case of a possible GALT hick-up. VoiP (Voice over IP), yet one other high growth area targeted by BRCM, has T.I./Telogy taking control of the chip level market with several CSOC (Configurable System-On-Chip) start-ups specifically addressing VoiP waiting in the side-lines. It sure looks tight out there...
