Levy, it was my impression in May,1999 that these groups were one and the same. Perhaps they have since disassociated and no longer use the same web site. Further, the similarity of Individual Investor Online
(http://www.iionline.com)
would normally trigger a copyright infringement law suit from the organization with a similar name (AAII). Perhaps you're correct, in which case AAII may be innocent of soliciting SI board members, but they are not innocent of failing to acknowledge SI as a prime (if not the premier) financial discussion site.
