key points

we believe intel's launch of the i820 chipset, direct rambus drams, and 600mhz pentium III with 133mhz front side bus is on track for september 27, 1999.

we believe pc oems will stage roll-outs of pc's with direct rambus during the fourth quarter, with consumer desktop pc's available from several top-tier oems on the day of launch. yet, not every pc oem will be ready with all of their models and there could be back log.

in late october intel will launch its coppermine family of microprocessors running at speeds up to 733mhz. in addition, we believe intel will announce direct rambus enabled workstation products in late october.

we believe dell has encountered problems with one of its own motherboard designs. yet, we believe dell is strongly committed to the rambus platform, and the company has numerous products in various stages of production, including intel-produced motherboards that appear ready for production now.
