A Christian God ,Lisa, or the God of Truth? There is a great difference...in which founding father you talked to.

Ben Franklyn didn't believe that Jesus was the son of "God" and so stated...

Funny, Ben Franklyn was the most Popular Man in his day, both here and across the "Pond"... In fact he still is the most popular mAN IN THE UNIVERSE, (next to Bill Gates, of course! LOL!)

:-)

One Nation Under God
The pledge used to be One nation, indivisiable. The pledge to the national flag was that never again would we fight a Civil War over sesesion. In the 1930's a group of bible belt democrats who couldn't give up on the confederacy insisted that God be place between nation and indivisible. Roosevelt needed to preserve the coalition and capitulated.
