I agree that there were all of forty posts on this thread regarding KOB's former emphasis on the mining sector, before they bought into ELH. The thread evolved after that, though I doubt that the pursuit of facts was ever on the back burner.

Additionally, I don't dispute that you and others have a great interest in rumors. Unless they have a credible, documented source, I think they're mainly useful as a window on that portion of the market that believes them. Some days, they can serve as a possible explanation for the short term behavior of a stock.

I can't predict the future of your new thread, though, if it doesn't take off, could we try my suggestion instead?

Here's the thing. Facts, AND the thoughtful interpretation of such, go hand in hand. If you were to separate out a group for facts only, it seems to me that you'd have little more than a list of JV news releases (depending on how you define a fact).

On the other hand, rumor and hype seem self supporting and could do quite well in a box of their own, perhaps interbreeding a bit and producing new species of discourse.
