That means that it must be treated as a historical work, to be challenged for accuracy. Religious institutions represent, in total, the greatest wealth in this world, IMHO. Thus they must always guard against anything or anyone who would threaten their vast and successful business. I wonder how God feels about the Vatican's enormous wealth and jewelry while there are millions of children starving?
