Granola head? Where are you coming from? How bizarre. I loathe granola. Rather than just characterizing the statement below as "ignorant and bigoted," maybe you would please tell me how it is inaccurate in its description of some of the views we've heard here. How does it mischaracterize yours, for example? How does it mischaracterize Christopher's? And would you mind explaining the "granola-head" insult? It is certainly the most contentless insult I've seen on SI. Here is the statement with which you disagree. (You oatmeal-head you, lol. Probably you like corn flakes, too. Maybe you're even a hard core shredded wheat consumer. Probably pushing rice crispies to school children! Wouldn't put it past you.) On the one hand, they like the idea of getting the government to force the woman to give birth against her will, because they are convinced their own religious views are right, and that obedience to them should be mandatory for all citizens...

"Granola heads"? How intellectually perspicacious of you. It's plain to see that you are the product of a rigorous, intellectual educational program. Yeah, right. As if. Where'd you go to law school, Joe's Garage and Law School? Truth be told, it is only by banning abortion that YOUR religious views will be "tolerated," isn't it? We will "err on the side of caution" by banning whatever you don't like? So if anyone believes that abortion is a good thing, under any circumstances, your argument is that WE are the ones who are "intolerant," because YOU don't like it, and we won't kow-tow to your beliefs? And you think we don't know what your agenda is? I guess you think we are as dumb as everyone you deal with on a daily basis? Well, ok, Ms. JLA, I'll be blunt about it. I don't give a shit about your feelings. I don't give a shit whether your sensibilities are injured. I don't give a shit whether you go off in a huff and cry. What's at stake here is a lot more important than "tolerance" for your irrelevant feelings. So please, give it a rest with the whining. And the rest of you, too.
