"After all we've been through, moving that dresser? No way. You're going to be buried in
that dresser."

Now that is True Love.

Moving a dresser up stairs and around corners, gee that sounds like fun. Just tell me when and I'll be there. I forgot, I can't leave the state. That's it, Illinois is under quarantine. Yep, Ebola Fever.

I had a good move once when I was single. Sold my place furnished. Moved my clothes, guns and fishing poles, bought new and had it delivered.

When I moved here I did it myself. Just me and my pick em up truck. Beds, dressers, sofas....... I was much younger then.

Sounds like you have a neat dresser. I have a couple of Mahogany tables. Love the wood. And some old marble topped tables. And an Oak dresser and vanity table both marble topped from the late 1800s.

We have a corner cupboard in the dining room that's like this. It's not even that beautiful, though it is an antique. Dan's grandfather had found it in a farmer's chicken coop- why it was in a chicken coop and why Dan's grandfather happened to be in the chicken coop with it, I have never been able to ascertain-- but he bought it and refinished it and we have inherited it. It is huge and it took three burly men, well, my husband and two large football players, to move it in. They did some nasty damage to the plaster and wood of the dining room in the process. Dan swears it will never move again, unless it follows us on its own initiative, like a dog.
