..."....try to buy a house or purchase gasoline, or buy a stock, you'd notice that all three have gone through the roof in prices..."

I think you live on the left coast and have seen housing prices rise dramatically and want to naturally say that the same thing is happening all over, but it isn't....in selected places, yes, the demand exceeds the supply....but in others, there is a sense of balance and the prices are not appreciating much at all.

As far as big ticket items costing more, I take exception with that as well....if one finances a big purchase, interest rates are at some very low levels even with the rises in the last few months....there is so much competition to lend money that I think the rates may stay low longer....with rates this low, and returns on selected issues so high, it doesn't make sense to liquidate and pay cash if you can afford to.

I won't refute that gasoline prices have risen sharply lately, but that is only one element in a complex tapestry.

As far as stock prices, well, the point has been made here repeatedly that only a small percentage of those are highly priced and the rest appear to have been in a bear market.

kis, until you fax your confirms to the people you promised, i really prefer you didn't post here...

kis is a fellow who claims to have doubled, then later tripled his net worth and also has claimed to have made a million dollars in one day on options. he also promised to fax confirmations of a put trade on qualcomm to many people and to my knowledge has not done so...if you follow the amzn thread, you will see...

it may appear like he is being chased, but there is good reason...

obviously you don't have a clue as to what constitues a real inflationary senario...interest rates to buy a house are cheap...gasoline will come down, for sure..and since when was putting gas in your car inflationary???

stock prices???...free markets pal...you wanna play the game, you pay the tarrif...

cash??? more people in the USA have more cash than ever before in their lives...your looking at the short term, and can't see the forest for the trees...
