Did anyone notice that the S&P futures, which had been flat to down all morning, suddenly shot up 3 points right at 5am eastern, which is unremarkable in any other timing except it is the start of CNBC, and the first time in which the futures are displayed to the masses.

Attempts at manipulation of the masses, eh?

Interesting post Les,

This seems to be a slant that still does not get much attention...it's either big up or big down. At this point with all the violent whipsaws in either direction, a strong case for a relatively flat market moving forward can still be made...with plenty of opportunities to play the ups and downs for everyone; J6P to institutional to international players.

Best Regards,

John Madarasz
