If I were to open a speech,"Ladies and gentlemen", no one would think anything of it, and it would certainly not connote either a prostitute or a grandmother. Restrooms are still often marked "Ladies" and "Gentlemen". If I characterized someone as having "behaved like a lady", it would still be widely understood to be the equivalent of praising her for poise and courtesy....Classism? What in heavens name are you talking about?.....
