Zin! Did that too...Felt similarly assaulted. Didn't hot-wire a Cat, but ran along a grade and knocked over all of the stake flags with my right hand.

I felt I wanted it to stop.
Until I had time to think about it.
Until they got my permission.
Until something.

I was pissed off.

After all, since I was "running there",
it was "my" land.
I had run everywhere.

Since I was on foot, and knew where they were;
it was mine.

They were using their rude machines,
and grandiose mathematical
surveying ways; and I was running.

Who has a right to be here?

It seemed so clear when they graded the ground for something big.

It was Pasadena High School. (1965?)
(What would seem to be a building);
but is a lot more.

I also thought something Spanish ~
I admit not Indian ~ told me, to
knock it down.
