my goodness Moores brought civilization to Midevil Europe and backwards Spain, they preserved Greek, Roman, Middle East writings for generations, built magnificiant architecture and culture, introduced science, math and on and on.....and what did Christian Catolic Inquisition do when they took power? after Columbus era soon the Spain went downhill

Yes, certainly there was communication and trade which was beneficial to Christendom. I was not aware of Charlemagne, but the Templars definitely had a rapport with the Easterners. I am not that knowledgeable on the subject, but it seems to me that if the Moors had contented themselves with staying in Andalusia, there would have been peaceful coexistence. The persistent move north by the Moors combined with the fragility of the kingdom forced Isabel's hand. As it was, I believe there was much comingling of cultures that was tolerated, even encouraged, until the late stages.
