If you have ever watched a drug company's development process they foster innovation through what is termed an "incubator". A corporation specifically set up to develop a SPECIFIC product. Without going into details about how it works the bottom line is that the major drug company that "sponsors" the operation has all rights to the products developed....they feel this creates an innovative, entrepreneurial environment without the bureaucracy that typically inhibits this sort of culture. It is my firm belief that MSFT is also using this method for application development. Regards, Walsham
