Value - As you know, we are very deep into AXC. I do emphathise with your point of view that they maybe leaving ADS in the dust. For myself, it is my understanding AND Mr. Bramson's quote (paraphrased) "...we will capitalize on our ADS investments as we hire Mr Cooper to run the business...while we get into Digital Streaming Internet Video in a very big way..." They also bought Micronet to front end the DST. ADS is state-of-the-art and leader and the cartridges are interchangealbe to the point where is may be defacto standard for Video content creators, content warehousing and content distribution. It takes time. For myself, I re-read pages 6 and 7 of the 1996 Annual report where the DCT is depicted, its a cut away picture, and 6 releavant technologies (6th is system engineering) are discussed summarized. Their point is that for years AXC has been honing and refining Digital Image Technology. IMO The release of technology this fall on iNEXTV is going to blow peoples minds. And, our technologies are protected, patented & proprietary. Remember, AXC manufactures their own ASICS. Think - KM is mind blowing technology. Think about - The DNA molocules of magnectic dust are minuplated to provide greater storage, reduce the "noise' interferance levels, stayed "glued" to the disk in extreme conditions AND remain magnetic " 1 or 0 " longer...imagine what they are doing with the DNA of Digital Images - coding, compression, de-compression, de-coding. Reduced bandwidth to give us at the least a 2 year lead. 2 years in Interent time is very good lead. Their application then becomes Streaming Technology of which we also have significant expertise... It is the "content" where our risk may be. Risk to me is 2 fold. I don't what they have and I don't what the market will bear. The up-side is they are getting small pieces of Fortune 100 companies budgets to experiment. Mr. Bramson will not spend money unless there is a PROFITABLE PLAN. These facts speak volumes of corporate respect for and application/product quality of AMPEX/iNEXTV.
