>> any reason Q selling off this morning?

Not that I can think of. Q had a pretty big run last week, so a few short term investors may be taking some profits. More likely, it's the Amateur Hour phenomena; the market makers clean out all the low priced limit orders first thing, and then let the stock rise. It's a form of legal robbery <g>.

Plus the Nasdaq comp is down about 6 points.

Don't worry, be happy. That's why I cannot figure how a daytrader can tell the direction on the Q. But long-term, I think that we know the direction of Q.

I'm a bit concerned about some of you folks here. We have a run from the low 150's and almost jumped back to new highs in less than a week...and people are asking why we are losing a few points today?

Like I said in the low 150's, relax folks. Don't try to understand daily movements. Don't try to time this thing. We have a winner. That's all that matters.

Good Luck,
Rick

Jenne,
Psychology is the reason for the pull back today. How many times have you heard "If it ever gets back to what I paid for it i'm selling"
Huge volume hit the tape on the last run up and lots of those buyers are now at or close to break even and they are selling. Unfortunately for many investors its a break even game. These investors watch the weekend paper for stock quotes and sell on Monday when they can "break even" and tell their friends they never lost money on a stock. They sell the winners quickly and hold the losers giving them a portfolio full of losers over time. Of course those of us that follow Q* here on SI buy the pullbacks and hold the tops.
